Welcome To The Nicollet County Fair

2010 Nicollet County 

Eight directors and their spouses attended the Minnesota Federation of County Fairs at the Sheridan Hotel in Bloomington in January.  We are very excited about the 2010 Nicollet County from what we learned and heard at the convention.  The board will be busy putting the final touches on the 2010 fair, so check the website often for any changes from previous years.

You may be seeing a few new faces at the 2010 county fair.  Gale Kreykes retired after many years as secretary of the Nicollet County Fair Association.  Gale spent many hours in Johnson Hall during the fair, entering information from the open class exhibits and writing out the checks (to mention just a few).  We thank Gale for her many years of service and dedication and welcome Ann Volk as our new secretary.  Ann is not new to the fair,  she has been involved in the fair in many ways.  You may have seen her selling grandstand tickets or lining up the help for the grandstand.  Stop by Johnson Hall during the fair to welcome Ann.

We will once again have our free sandwiches on opening night of the fair, courtesy of the Nicollet County Fair Board of Directors and Minnesota Magic Amusement.  Music entertainment is being planned for your listening enjoyment during the evening.  The ever popular Pfeffer Tournament will be also taking place Wednesday night.  

There will be free entertainment every afternoon and evening with bingo, Vikings Cheerleaders, representatives from the Vikings Association, commercial exhibitors, food vendors, 4-H exhibits and many more events for the 2010 Nicollet County Fair.

Reserve August 11th - 15th, 2010 for the county fair and remember the wristband passes for the midway rides or all events grandstand passes which become available in July and August at participating locations in Lafayette, Nicollet, and St. Peter.  They are at a discounted price prior to the start of the fair, so get yours and save money!
